Or Kyurem has none of its own and it's only when fused with Resh/Zek does it then take on the DNA profile of its fused being. No doubt had they came up with a triple fusion, they'd have said it shares both Reshiram and Zekrom's DNA.

Reshiram and Zekrom are supposed to be the eyes of Yin Yang. Reshiram is the eye of Yin and Zekrom the eye of Yang. You can tell because their God stones corresponds with the shape and color of Yin and Yang's eyes. Their game titles also hint at this.

Even without inversion, a Pokemon is a set of inspirations, and it doesn't faithfully respect all the characteristics of its inspirations. Yin and Yang are just one design inspiration, the rest is based on energy, ideals and truth.
Enamorus does not wear the black color of his North black turtle inspiration, nor does he control the water element. There are many examples of this in the bestiary, all adapted a little differently.

I was just saying that, even if we accept the point of view without considering the Yin and Yang inversion, there are a hundred examples in the Pokédex that express that not everything is taken to the letter (Enamorus is an example), which implies that people who say “Reshiram = Yang = masculine” they're wrong anyway, because it's easy to prove that it doesn't mean a thing.
So not only does their only argument get killed by this rhetoric, but we also get Sugimori's interview about the designs AND the leaks. So we've definitely won.

And that's a fallacious argument, because starters and legends (particularly box legends) are held to a different standard - the mightiest mark raids offering up Game Freak's own take on them (anything girly is considered female, anything ambiguous rolled the 88% along with the masculine things).
So when you try to "b-both sides" this shit, it just sounds like faggot cope, because anyone with fucking eyes could see the big picture of the pokémon yin yang symbols (and Masuda had said the ethos of BW was opposing forces, yin yang, truth or ideals, etc and not JUST yin yang as be all and end all. That was just the design brief for the box legends just). And from what I can see, the Genies in their incarnate forms are a pair of dualities - the thunder and wind god Fujin and Raijin, with the others based off shinto fertility gods Inari Okami (fertility of the land) and Ugajin with similarities to Menasa from buddhism, while in their therian are allusions to the four cardinal beasts and not actual representatives (because this is pokémon and not the real world, where to be authentic, you need to adhere to "traditional "presentations).

Not really, no. Box legends are no exception to the rule. I can't think of any who follow their inspirations and themes 100%, especially as they often have several different sources. Just look at Zygarde's incarnation of real-world mythology in all its forms, and his links with Xerneas and Yveltal. We're a long way from a faithful representation of reality.
In the case of Reshiram and Zekrom, it makes no difference because Reshiram was explicitly designed to have a feminine aspect, whereas Zekrom is masculine.
