The original dev hated trannies, but left to pursue a life focused on religion bevause the project "wasn't allowing him to live the Christlike life he wanted for himself" or something shit. THEN after he left, completely unrelated, someone said "trans rights" (literally just that, it wasn't even part of a conversation it was just that) in the discord and it caused a total meltdown, a shitfest involving the whole community. Mods ended it by banning everyone pro trans, saying you shouldn't talk about trans stuff in a discord with kids around. Bear in mind, this is all after the original dev already left. People hated that response basically, and so community managers got replaced, but no devs were replaced as a result of this.
