Once I heard that the game takes place in an alternate universe where SM's plot isn't real, I didn't even bother to pick the game up.
SM remains to this day the last Pokemon game I have purchased and completed. The quality dipped way too hard in the Switch era, and I was already on the fence during the 3DS era.
