In almost every other region you are mostly either trudging through hot, humid, or at best temperate climates, but in Sinnoh you trek your way in the brisk mountain air or through vast snowy landscapes where at the end of the day you unload in an ambient, relaxing Pokemon center or in a cozy house with dulcet music servicing your R&R. The music continues to enrapture the player throughout the course of the adventure.
2. The Pokémon are naturally appeasing. You are not inundated with extraordinary tables, but are acquainted with Pokémon that fit the route they inhabit. This delivers to the player a deeper sense of immersion. The new Pokémon themselves are largely pleasing and sublime, from the serene Cherubi to the fierce Staraptor. The starters embody strong animalistic design philosophy mixed with a touch of fantasy, as well as exuding a poignant air of “cool.”
3. The gameplay is rich and full. The story expands upon the mythos of the Pokémon world with the pantheon of Sinnoh, while also bolstering the player’s journey with charming and unforgettable characters from the stern yet kind Prof. Rowan to the illustrious and awe-inspiring
Cynthia. Thwarting the plans of Team Galactic proves to be the most monumental challenge yet in the Pokémon universe. Additionally players are free to wander their focus off of the gym challenge as they attend to slathering trees with honey, collecting and planting a vast variety of berries, exploring the underground, and filling out their Pokédex. Of course once the main journey is over players are also encouraged to experiment with the Pokéradar and dongle-method, create their strongest teams, and battle players from all over the world for the first time ever in the series.
