Debugged Metagross to 150 to test it before wasting my time genociding robo blisseys and you can do it without a Platinum as long as you have the Plat Card on a regular shiny + adamant + full attack investment. I'm not sure what the threshold was, but the difference between nonshiny and paying One Dollar to shiny it was the difference on breaking the bell. I suspect it's 1 million.
