I honestly have no idea why Gamefreak are still so infatuated by "types"; they honestly think it's the best, most innovative idea ever, but it's just babby's first elemental system.
So now Gamefreak need to make every character the literal AVATAR of that type; they need to embody some aspect completely and utterly. If they're rock, they're a fucking rock climbing, rock-eating golem who lives in mountains.
If they're fire they're hot-blooded and literally bathe in magma and cum lava.
ALL water leaders are expert swimmers. Why not, like, someone who paints lakes or something? Why no subtlety?
