You can just mod any flaws out of HGSS, lol. There's no reason these gross "faithful" remakes should exist it its just going to offer a worse experience than playing the originals.

Did not mean that reply for this post. I wanted to point out that there is/was some effort to port Platinum to the technically superior gen 5 engine. Also gen 4 doesn't put that much important stuff on the bottom screen. It would probably be possible to make the battle menu appear as text on the top screen.

Do you mean this? I'm pretty sure its Gen IV's engine with Gen V's graphics just so he could keep following pokemon.

It changes the battle UI and backgrounds to be PBR ones. I know the guy making it was adding the announcer in Spanish but I don't know if that link has that version or if it's even finished yet.
