>>56775396I don't think the jokes are funny. I get most of the references, but that's just what they are, references.
I really like Clover however, as a pokemon game. No mon is truly a shitmon, I can make a team with whatever I want and make it work, everything has some sort of gimmick it can go for, like every pokemon has its own niche it can fill, which enhances my experience greatly, because now my monster team building game has great monster team building options. Difficulty is also well balanced - not so easy you can mindless mash through
(you kinda can in some parts) but not so hard you need to bust your balls, it's just right. Enemy teams feel creative instead of metafaggotry.
Only real issues with the game
- I'd rather not have HMs. They are not that big of an issue, but it's still annoying.
- IVs are cancer. I know you can get bottlecaps and perfect IVs blobbos, but that's like 2/3 into the game. I'd rather not ever worry about IVs, just have it all be 0 or max for everyone.
- No mints. Natures is a cool idea with terrible implementation when often only 3 natures out of 25 are useful for a pokemon. Mints are a band-aid fix but if works.
- Can't romance the ace trainers. Not sure what cloverdevs were thinking with this one.
