Everything should at least be strong enough to feel good in an ingame run. It sucks to add a shitmon to your party because you love its design and then the thing is deadweight all game.

I'd rather broken abilities or signature moves for underperforming pokemon than a one-off form that requires an item, despite liking most Megas.
Espathra has a signature attack the harshly lowers the opponents SpDef by 2, give stuff like that to Beedrill

Would boost Beedrill by at least 2 tiers
