But then he was pre-shilled. Had cameos in a bunch of things AND was the main character in one of the most kino Pokemon movies.
And then in the games you get one naturally without having to go out of your way or anything and relatively early too.
And it's actually pretty good not a shitmon. Even on the anime whenever it appeared it had a very good showing.
Notice how all other shillmons all fail in one or even more than one of these aspects.
Like with so many other things, I'm absolutely certain that Lucario was just GF getting lucky, as they've never been able to replicate its success again even once.
