Cassette Beasts does this. It's an interesting game, but it has too many interactions. Like one water gun attack can change the game state 5-times over.

yeah I can see how alot of that type of thing could get complicated real quick. I think pokemon could probably handle a few of them though. maybe around a genshin impact level of elemental interactions. Babies first alchemy kind of deal. That's why I simplified the type chart and made the weakness/res more intuitive, so that you could add more complex stuff that becomes a strategy junkies wet dream while still having it easily grasped by a new player.
