How did Charizard beat Blastoise? This shit triggered me hard as a Blue owner. I hate how Charizard gets favorable treatment all the time.

It's not even going by gen 1 rules where Hyper Beam has no recharge if you KO an opponent with it, it's blatantly just telling the source material to fuck off.

Worse. At least in the valley it's amongst its own kind and can train to get stronger (what it wants since it values trength) and bathe itself in zardpussy. In Oaks lab it has to deal with hoardes of Ash's weak unevolved shitmons and as a result gets fat and lazy.

The anime doesn't use a cut and dry level system like the game does. Charizard's Seismic Toss is its most powerful move because it reflects how powerful the user is, and we know Ash's Charizard was so ahead of everyone else that it wouldn't even listen to him for a long stretch, which gets manifested in Seismic Toss's output. Not sure if you noticed but whenever Charizard loses a fight it's usually because its Seismic Toss was disrupted from proper execution or he just didn't use it.
