Alcremie and some of the others do get the spotlight every so often, but it's still peanuts compared to Friede, Liko, and Roy's team members. And I don't think this is so much because there's a focus on those mons as it is just a focus on Roy, Liko, and Friede compared to everyone else. IMO, there should be fewer human characters and more pokemon per person. If they want to tell "human" stories, tell a story about trainers that actual CATCH pokemon.
People used to complain all the time about how Ash never caught stuff, and he puts everyone in Horizons to shame in that category.
