you can open one pack every 12 hours, but the timer for that can store one pack too so you only need to open the app and open the two packs every 24 hours (but if you take more than 24 hours to open any i think it'll reset the end time of the timer to 12 hours from when you open one of those packs)
so as long as you're super punctual you can do what you're describing, and that would be enough to get some additional hourglasses daily for opening more packs eventually
you should also do a wonder pick every day or 2.5 since you have 5 blocks of that that recharge too on 12 hour cycles, but otherwise you can ignore battling and stuff if you want to
