I don't like the way she treats dendra. Not in the "I hate that bitch" kind of way that you'd see from 13 year old on social media, but in a simple, "I don't really care for her personality".

The closest I came to liking her is from the dlc scene with her and miriam. The part with tulip telling miriam "When I'm with dendra all she does is go on and on about you and how adorable you are" followed by miriam saying "huh, I had no idea the two of you even knew each other" creates a dumb image in my head that I wish I could pay someone to draw where tulip gets really angry at the idea that dendra never feels the need to talk about her when she hanging out with other people.

I don't think Tulip treats Dendra badly. In their club room interaction, you can see the two women joking about their deal, and they even have a card where they are chilling together. I think you perceive Tulip as treating Dendra poorly because of their actual rivalry, but Dendra always loses, because is a Kanto reference.

It's partially most the people buying pokémon games are scrubs who can't even make it to Tulip to see her (same reason Lorelei was best Kanto girl, but genwunners gravitate to misty because gym 2 and tv exposure). She's overdesigned, like pretty much everyone in Gen 9. That white line on her lips adds nothing and just looks out of place, and there's enough tones in her eyelashes to have restricted the character palette to just those. If you overdesign the eyelashes, then you can't also overdesign the hair (which also has too many tones including some random blue because Paldea is YGO) and the lips, it's so unappealing. Like instead of looking at a depiction of a fictional "human" you are looking at a bunch of moving paint splotches.

Good design ruined by the above mentioned. Also I don't like that ugly pink color. Gen 9 abused a lot of garish colors.
She's a similar case to Manon from Street Fighter 6. Awesome design, awesome body, but the face and hairstyle are ugly and that kept her from catching the fans' attention.
