>>56801482>hurr durr samefagNo anon, I just didn't see why you would dismiss a comparison between Pokemon games solely based on... one of them being a Pokemon game. The basic divide of being pro/anti-dexcut is ABOUT content from past games/possibilities for future games, so acting snobbish because someone compared Pokemon games in a Pokemon thread on the Pokemon board is silly. Just say it doesn't count because it's optimized for shitass mobile gameplay like a normal person.
This being said I'm annoyed now so I'm going to put my actual autist opinion on this shit; it's kind of weird that this is centered on the idea of improving the games long term, but then they just phoned in both SWSH and SV anyways. Like sure there are SOME QoL changes and cute features they added to both, but if you aren't going to put in the effort to actually optimize shit before or after release (see the game shitting itself if you run into an outbreak over water even after they reduced spawn rates), you aren't going to bother with quality control with visuals (to the point shit ingame cutscenes don't just suffer from shit like animation snapping or pop in but straight up lack the oversight to keep your butt buddy NPC from apparently materializing from a sheer cliff face), aren't going to bother doing shit as simple as streamlining in battle prompts where we spend the majority of our time, aren't going to bother making environments worthwhile to explore (to the point that the generic Gym building is the only enterable place in most towns yet doesn't serve a purpose since the gym trials/challenges happen in the overworld), aren't going to make "challenges" engaging (what the fuck is even the point of Team Star shit when you just mash the KILL MOOK button until you reach an actual boss), and are just going to add 30% of the national dex back in through downloadable updates (meaning they're not even saving time to improve shit), how can you even live with putting your name on this shit?
