Imagine a company making product ABC then being so upset that consumers liked ABC that the company slandered anyone who used ABC of being an accessory to rape and pedophilia. And on top of that people who bought other products from that same company joined in and turned ABC fans into pariahs. This is the level of petty, stupid, and borderline evil Game Freak is.
