Yeah, I'm a dex completionist so I enjoyed it. Open world wasn't the right call for SV but it worked well in PLA.

It's a passable time waster. Been trying to catch alpha eevees and ghastlies. Still haven't completely finished it. I just did palkia and dialga then started fucking around trying to complete whichever pokemon checklist was close to completion

Agreed. It was like a diet Breath of the Wild until Tears of the Kingdom came out.

It fits the setting better. The gym challenges and Team Star bases feel like a break from the main flow. PLA is just catching some mons in a comfy world.

It was amazing and single-handedly made me a Pokémon fan again after abandoning the series at gen 6. So much soul.
I'll be incredibly disappointed if ZA isn't set in the past. Kalos is already really boring, but the whole game being in the same city will make things even worse.
