Battle factory, I love building a team with what I'm given.
It also allows for a lot of play diversity, using Pokemon I otherwise never would.

Blissey bases were such a good QoL feature in the postgame. Being able to instantly level a whole team like that was wonderful for trying out new stuff in the Battle Maison and completing my living dex. Grinding them in the north part of Paldea is nice too, but not quite the same.

Bring back the Game Corner, but make it an arcade with actual minigames of different genres. You win tickets or tokens, and trade those in for prizes. There are no slot machines, no pachinko - just good ol' fashioned arcade games.

Gen 8 got rid of petting, yes, even though they had camping that could've used it, and had messages explicitly saying your Pokemon want you to pet them.
><Pokemon> wants to be petted.

If you're talking non-core-gameplay features, Pokeathlon. Core gameplay, ability to disable Exp Share (why did they make it mandatory to begin with?) and national dex (even if I don't have much hope for that at this point)

They got rid of petting, but you play with Pokémon using toys like balls or wands. It’s been a long time since I’ve played Swsh, but the whole experience felt artificial. I didn’t spend long in camp as compared to Amie or refresh.
