Honestly more I read the text in BW and PokeMas, the more she does come across as a very composed, mature teenager who seems to have her life together rather early. I think that's a fun character and likely something most of /vp/ wouldn't quite relate to, so they get upset about her age more so than someone like Iris or Poppy being described as 9 years old
