This is cool, and I love seeing DS game romhacks, but I don't quite get why people think gen 5 looks so much better than gen 4.
The improvements seemed pretty minimal to me personally. The biggest one IMO being the less squished/chibi overworld sprites.

the 3d models don't fit in with the sprites
either change the models to clash less, or change the sprites

Is this a finished project you can get somewhere or is it just a demo? Does it come with gen 5 moving battle sprites?

Afaik it’s not released yet, but the guy is finishing it. And it doesn’t use Gen V’s sprites in battle, no.

They're minimal but IMO they definitely add up to create an overall better experience. Every time I go to replay a Gen 4 hack, it just looks... flat. Like I can see the 3D models and know it was their first foray into the 3rd dimension, but it mostly feels like Gen 3 with 3D models sprinkled in for texture while the rest of the world looks extremely flat in comparison.

Looks neat but two things
1) does it have seasons? I feel like just porting platinum without the cool things from gen 5 is kind of a waste
2) luminescent platinum is honestly just outright cooler

Some of these places don't really look and feel like Sinnoh anymore because they throw away the faded color palette of the region for the deep hues of Unova, which kind of goes against the rustic but ethereal thematic Sinnoh was going for.

The Sunnyshore City redesign in particular misses the point of the place. It's not supposed to be a futuristic hub like Black Opelucid City, it's a port town.

Volkner spearheaded a citywide construction project to fit the city's energy crisis (mostly caused by his own tinkering at his gym from sheer boredom )as Galactic Energy, the storefront of Team Galactic's operations, couldn't provide a solution. The project had only just finished during the Spear Pillar event. Sunnyshore City is supposed to look more technologically advanced than the rest of the region.
