It has some of my favorite characters in it.
I never felt like I was exploring, I always felt like I was on a guided tour, as a tourist to the region.
Really solid group of new monsters. Fuck Bruxish. I mean that literally of course.
Maybe used Z-moves a half-dozen times to see what some of them looked like. But otherwise, ignored the feature.
Story is interesting, and actually took some turns that I didn't see coming. Yes, I saw that the island hooligans weren't the big bad. Love Team Skull. It was refreshing after Team Flare tried so hard to be more evil than all of the other teams, and then still fell flat on its face.
Having a goofy team of dumb-ass kids was fun.
Ultra Beasts are stupid. But in the context of the story, they're fine, conceptually. They just don't feel like pokemon. Which was the point? But then they let the player catch them and add them to their teams, like pokemon?
Lusamine being a two-faced psycho bitch and shitty mom was fun up until it was retconned.
Lusamine grooming Guzma as her little pet to manipulate him was fun, up until it was retconned.
Having the character Lillie leave after the story is over really gives 'meeting someone on a vacation but having to say goodbye' vibes that actually made you enjoy the time that you had with her.
I mean, until it was retconned.
Those are my honest thoughts, because I don't have any noughts.
