>>56833225And again, that's JUST looking at the games. People forget that the rest of the franchise hinges on the machine being well-oiled and coordinated, otherwise it all falls apart and goes to complete shit. The games serve to introduce the bulk of the characters (both humans and Pokemon), and then merchandise is announced to coincide with those characters, and then the anime begins promoting these characters alongside other venues of merch marketing.
If they have to shitcan LZA or Gen 10, that's millions upon millions of investments from multiple companies thrown into the fucking gutter as it regards merchandising and the anime. Everything GameFreak told them to do, now The Pokemon Company's rolling up and saying "SHUT IT ALL DOWN, WE AREN'T APPROVING ANY OF THIS FOR RELEASE NOW", and now Pokemon is looked at as a franchise you can't rely on for good business.
The franchise isn't about to do something so fucking stupid as to let its entire operation get caught in a snag and start bleeding money profusely with absolutely no way to recover and reach the heights it was at prior. The leaks will suck ass for the short term, but Pokemon is ALWAYS thinking long term. In fact, they're already out somewhere in the world going on tour- I mean, doing "research" for gen 11's region, so they can come back home and start writing down barebones concepts, all while another team is working on Gen 10's DLC as we speak.
Only forward. No pause, no brakes.
