Pokemon up till gen 5 only saw what could be seen as minor issues, but then they had to basically fix their shit mid series in best wishes to get back to respectable numbers, and that was the world going into XY.
>>56839708Its a case of context, while its not as brazen the pretty dramatic shift from BW~XY to SM obviously points to Yokai Watch as those changed aspects align. Alongside the obvious blemish we are stuck with to this day.
