For example if I wanted to imply that Ho-oh changed the beasts you wouldn't say

>Ho-oh granted them new, greater life.Or something like that, that implies they were made different somehow. Instead the game, in both the original and HGSS, plays it completely straight.

Normal people who played the game would think that they didn't change and Ho-oh just rezzed them, people who haven't and just heard it from some clickbait YouTuber or reddit would think they were reformatted despite the fact that nothing in the game hints at it because that's been passed around as fact for longer than you've been alive.
That doesn't mean the information is correct. It just means that no one cares enough about Johto lore.
