>>56840989The basic play experience feels like ass for almost no reward, Cynthia is just a difficulty spike and not a fun or engaging fight in that game because the AI doesn't fucking work and nothing else is worthwhile artistically or mechanically. I can live with some jank, Gen 1 is incredibly fucked up but simply doing things isn't terrible and actually playing it can be fun. Try playing Gen 4 Battle Tower Multis with two carts and see how you fucking feel. Platinum fixed a lot of this stuff (AI that works, graphics that aren't unfiltered pastel shit, worthwhile content), and HGSS is mostly fine aside from the HP draining bug that I think is also in the original Gen 2, but both of those games have to exist at the same lowest common denominator in multiplayer.
