I don't get why the cel animation has much richer colors than digital, like can't digital just use an eyedropper tool to get those same tones?

Season 5 (back in Johto with Misty) was alrwady digitally aninated. All the May season were digital. It were only the Pokemon movies that kept being cel animated until the Lucario or Manaphy one.
