They're not great but I'd say they're about on par with Gen 3 at least where people will bring up over half of them semi-regularly. It's not like 1/2/5 where they're mostly memorable or Gen 8-onwards where their legacy isn't quite set in stone yet (and even then the porn of the female characters is a decent indication). The only generation that's a real notable dud is 6 but even then Korrina has enough story relevance to be mentioned consistently, and Valarie has been posted a lot lately and she's enough of a weirdo to be fairly memorable. I don't have high hopes for Gen 8 or 9 in the future, with Gen 8 winning out simply because of slightly women people want to fuck. Gen 9's more interesting designs are outside of the Gym Leaders unfortunately.
