Shine dust is used to make Flairs, which are cosmetic effects you apply to your cards in your deck or displays. You can craft them with a specific amount of duplicates in your card collection; click a card you have 3+ copies of, and select "Obtain Flair". Some cards need to sacrifice 3 duplicates, rare cards only need 1. Once you unlock the first flair, new ones pop up that you unlock in order with more duplicates. Some will say (Battle), which can only be applied in your deck (little blue button under your cards with unlocked flairs). Other flairs can be used in collections like your binder and display. If you want to use a flair on both copies of a card however, you need to unlock that flair a second time.

80 damage is also a pretty bad damage point since it takes two hits to ko what you want to ko.

Full arts are literally just call full arts. You could probably just call them FA (Pokemon) and people will know. As for that, good luck getting duplicates and flairs for that boy.

I'm just now realizing that the stage 1s that do 40 damage for 1 energy are insanely strong because they can OHKO 60 HP basics with weakness. If you go first against Pikachu and they open Voltorb, Mienshao can literally win you the game.

Also makes me think Eelectric is a really cool pokemon, given that it can evolve further.

Does owning Full Art and Immersion and Crown cards even give you any kind of leg up at all? Duel Links did it well where higher foil rarity would give you at least some bonus points when assessing a score for how each duel went, where it wasn't unfairly advantageous but it still offered something meaningful

There are some secret missions that involve collecting sets of like the full art gym leader cards or legendary birds, so you can get some in game rewards for doing so but nothing that effects a match or its outcome

Looking at your deck list I would cut Moltres for now. It's a pretty hefty energy requirement that would take away from you powering up your Charizard. If you can get your hands on a Moltres EX it will help your deck tremendously

I kind of regret doing it, wasn't worth it. Gradually realizing that Full Art is pointless as are most of the cards. I enjoy using the actual fun cards like Weezing + Koga instead of just pretty cards that wind up boring.

I don't think they mean anything. I mean I did get a crown rarity out of one of them, but that felt more like coincidence than anything since I tried backward before that and it was nothing special. The crown one was just a random stop after I spun it that landed on the backward one's spot.

Use 2 Wonder Pick stamina
Lets you hit level 3 and save 12 Pack Hourglasses
Do all solo guide battles
Do one (1) actually solo fight against the AI Ivysaur deck, immediately quit out.
Collect all rewards

This should give you 122 Pack Hourglasses and lets you do a 10-pull on your pack of choice to save animation time on single pulls.

If you get a good 10-pull you can choose to continue clearing out the rest of the solo battles to see if it's a keeper after that.

If it does lock you out of certain rarity Wonder Picks that would explain it. I wasn't able to see another anon's rare pack either because it had higher rarities in it.

You can run basically every water type with Misty and Starmie. Articuno is the best since it can function on turn 1 but you can coinflip a Gyarados to full power on turn two.

I’ve been trying out moltres ex over the magmar and it’s gone decently, I haven’t been playing it like a normal Moltres EX but rather something that can take a hit and threaten or feed the team midgame or lategame. I was mainly worried about getting locked in a gamestate where it’s my first mon out and kills momentum by default but thankfully that hasn’t happened after a fair bit of testing except like once in an unlucky game. You can get it out of there pretty handily with ex speed since it’s only 2 RC and there are occasional windows where you can use Inferno Dance (never the ultimate goal, just the best move on a given turn in certain scenarios)

At least the 'Event Hourglasses' give you stamina at a 1:1 ratio.
So you get like 15 'free' stamina, then 12hrs for each recharge after that.
And let's be real, the only one of these promo cards that might ACTUALLY be relevant so you need a playset is maybe Lapras EX, the rest, as long as you get 1 copy for your collection it's fine.

Fuck though can you imagine having shit luck and not pulling at least one copy of all the promos because you get a fuck-load of repeats of Pikachu or some shit like that?
That would fucking suck.

They're even blue colored to match the water theme of the event.
It's not impossible that they can be hoarded, but I would not bet on it. There is every chance they'll all just disappear from your inventory the second the event ends.

Basically what I'm saying is get gud.

To be real, once you've done the 5 mandatory battles, focus on spamming Expert Battle, it's the only battle with a 100 percent drop chance for the packs, Beginner has the lowest chance (50 percent) Advanced is an 80 percent drop.

Every fossil pokémon has a gimmick where they need to "evolve" from their fossil. The unique thing about fossils is that they can be placed on the bench and your opponent doesn't get a point for knocking one out, so they're great to use for stalling and screwing over Sabrina fags

It's for countering Sabrina and increasing the consistency of your Pokeballs (Fossils don't count as basic pokemon for the search effect, even though they can be played onto the bench, in addition you can discard them from your active zone for free at any time, so even if you get force-switched, you can just put the fossil in active then discard it to go back to your sweeper for free).

Oh and I guess you can also use them to make Aerodactyl, Omanyte and Kabuto.
But no one actually does that.

I was literally about to say, I've really been sleeping on Seaking. If Pikachu didn't oneshot it it'd be a fucking monster. 40 damage doesn't matter that often but 80 damage matters a LOT. Pikachu EX is probably the best you can do.
It's a very strong deck AND has a type advantage against the event deck so you know.
My advice, since it doesn't cost stamina when you lose, just concede if you don't open Pikachu EX + at least 1 other basic to save time.

I didn't pull Lapras EX until my 5th promo pack so no, it's not guaranteed on the first pull.
I think it just has (relatively) higher odds of being pulled due to the small card pool (realistically, it's probably something like a 5-10 percent chance for the EX, then a 20-24 percent chance for each of the other promo cards).

1. Conserve pack hourglasses as much as possible (They are the only resource you can actually hoard as a f2p player)
2. Stick to opening your 2 packs per day, nothing more
3. Only do wonder picks for EX cards that you definitely want since EX cards are rare otherwise
4. Remember to harvest your 5 likes per day from other players for the free tickets
5. Buy the monthly pack hourglasses at the very least, consider the monthly wonder hourglasses too
That's about it.
You wanna save up those hourglasses so you can blow your load when you really want to build a deck, so don't go wasting them all pulling for something you don't really care about.

It's not about whether going second is better or not. It's about the fact that you can easily play Dugtrio, Kabuto, Marowak, or Mienshao, and you choose to to play Sandslash.

Battles are the most reliable way.
Do random online battles, like everyone you battle with (and throw in the friend request too). Most people will like you back (some won't because they're dicks but fuck them).
You can usually manage the 5 likes after about 6-7 battles, 5 if you're lucky, 10 if you go up against a lot of assholes who don't like after a battle.

2x Helioptile, 2x Heliolisk, 2x Magnemite, 1x Magneton (I'd like to use 2 but I only have 1), 1x Pincurchin, 1x Pikachu EX. Heliolisk can at least survive one hit from Lapras and Golduck and if you win the coin flip it hits hard. Magneton doesn't have as much HP, but it just sets itself up in the bench, so it can come in attacking. Pincurchin is just the last resort, but I have won a couple of times thanks to him. I've lost once so far. I heard that Electross is good, but I don't have one.

It's literally impossible for 'creased packs' to contain better cards because that would be illegal both in Japan and most other countries (it would break the laws about honesty in disclosing the contents/odds for randomized items because nowhere is it mentioned that there can be any odds other than those given for regular packs).

Basically, unless Nintendo decided to run afoul of like every gaming/gambling law in the developed world for no reason, bent packs mean absolutely nothing and literally can't mean anything regarding odds or pack contents.

It's not real. It's just a visual thing.

My thoughts now are you want to have red card in your deck because of the implication. If your opponent knows beforehand your deck doesn't have it, like in a tournament setting, then they can get comfortable hoarding whatever they want in their hand and spamming Professor's Research. If they know you have a red card in your deck they might alter their playstyle to play cards sooner out of fear of having it shuffled back into the deck, whether you would actually use the red card or not. It's mind-games

It dies to the same stuff Articuno dies, but at least Articuno checks Gardevoir or other 100/110LP pokes from freely switching in when you Sabrina them
