I always picked the boy because I always saw myself as the character when I was a kid. Its probably why I like battling Red so much in the different games. It reminds me of when I was younger. It was kinda funny seeing him as a 20 year old in sun and moon. The 96 on his shirt makes me smile. Pokemon is just full of charming characters.

Summer is...alright. Honestly, I never really cared for the mc designs in Guardian Signs. They are okay, but I feel like they could have done better. Should have just stuck to something more uniform-y looking, like with the previous pair of protagonists.

One thing I don't like about the sequel Pokemon Ranger games, the way they designed the protagonists make them look like kids, I thought it was a fun contrast that the protagonists in the first game look like older teens/adults compared to the mainline games using kids/early teens
