Everything about gen 1 has been shoehorned into everything for so long and at this point I actively hate everything about gen 1. In the eyes of the games, anime, and fanbase, the only gens that exist are 1 and current gen (and sometimes not even that as see in SwSH and Journeys)

Also anyone posting these characters just reeks of being a secondary. It's like someone saying their favorite Touhou game is EoSD, The world feels so small when you only care about nostalgia
