For example, an argument would be: there is a height difference between Lacey and Riko (fuck you I will use Riko it's cuter). They always want companions and MCs of different heights within the same gender.
I'd also argue stuff like she has the most memorable personality and outfit.
Next is that there is literally no viable alternative. Nemona is a godawful choice for 300 and 4 different reasons. One of these reasons is that she is an ethnic minority, and I would attempt Gamefreak to see the wisdom in exclusively using white-codeable characters (remember Lacey's original name is the Oriental "Taro").
