>>56882991Let's see.
Route 1: Story Progression is a hallway, however there's a side area that isn't.
Accumula Town: Simple design but pretty much ever earlygame town is this way.
Route 2: Still kinda simple
Striaton City: Slightly larger but still simple
Dreamyard: Not much to do there storywise. Opens up more later on.
Route 3: Straight line, at least until Wellspring Cave, afterwards you back track and head south.
Nacrene City: Simple layout but somewhat large for a second gym town.
Pinwheel Forest: Story forces you through a non-hallway area.
Skyarrow Bridge: IT'S A FUCKING BRIDGE (I'll skip the others except Village)
Castelia City: Absolutely huge and tons to do. Easy to get lost in.
Route 4: Mostly straight with story progression but the side areas it has access to are some of the best in the series.
Nimbasa City: Somewhat large and a bit to do.
Route 5: Probably the most linear "midgame route" in terms of story progression.
Driftveil City: Somewhat easy to get lost in.
Cold Storage: I will admit I struggled with the ice puzzle as a kid.
Route 6: Starts getting a bit more complex here. Access to Mistralton Cave, though most probably won't see it.
Chargestone Cave: One of the best cave gimmicks in the series with an interesting puzzle.
Mistralton City: Boring imo.
Route 7: I like the balancing platforms.
Celestial Tower: Best dungeon music in the series. Though it's puzzle is relatively simple.
Twist Mountain: Surprisingly complicated layout.
Iccirus City: It's unique.
Dragonspiral Tower: Fun layout, that really good music plays here.
Route 8: Boring imo.
Route 9: Simple but in BW only, has one of the best post game dungeons.
Opelucid City: Best city in the game.
Route 10: Great music, underrated route. Best Badge check in series.
Victory Road: Best Victory Road so far.
Pokémon League: Honestly kinda boring, at least the E4 rooms were cool.
N(igger)'s Castle: Best music and vibes for an endgame area. Challenging boss battles and interesting lore.
