personally, I feel that removing the ability and making it a non-damaging attack for 1 dark energy would be better. purely because of 2 things:
1: most pokemon don't get 3 attacks/abilities nowadays
2: it could be used in the back, and this thing screams rare candy spam .w.

Heh I hear ya. I’m no good at coding either and most compilers give very cryptic errors “ln 50 returned null” you think “oh it must be a problem with a variable or something on line 50” then you look at line 50 and several lines before and after it and they just output telling the program to write something like “so you really don’t want this egg? Guess I’ll have it for breakfast!”
So nope, don’t think I’m gonna be able to do a whole game.

I think just a standalone was fine. We had a few people submit orphaned evolutions last time around too. I mean, the cards aren't actually intended to be played, (but I absolutely would if I could) I'm just a stickler for detail and authenticity.

Back when I was in school and pokemon was at it's peak everyone had pokemon cards, but no one had any idea how to play the game. We were all ESLs so we couldn't read any of the instructions either, so we pretty much made our own rules and reached an agreement on what each card did
There was this card with a lady carrying a basket full of pokeballs in a field of flowers. For some reason we all decided that she would just straight up win you the game instantly if you drew her, and thus we called her "Lady Kill"

I wish we had a set that focused on game mechanics like this. There's no reason we can't have most of the type boosters as tool cards that all have the same effect. Sure it can't be all 16 since the tcg consolidates some of the types, but you can at least cover all the types it does use.
