However that dynamic won't really fit with JN Ash. Writers needs to write different dynamics between Ash and Serena. I mean Akane (Oshi No Ko) went from a shy passive suicidal girl to a cheeky cheerful and sassy girl in the genuine way that didn't feel superficial, maybe Serena can do the same.
Furthermore interaction is a two way thing, how Ash interacts with Serena is just as important as how Serena interacts with him. The reason XY-JN Ash lost his charm was because his interaction with every character became one dimensional and one note. Hack people thought old Ash to return on MPM because he and Misty interacted the same way they did during the original series.
