Why do evil teams even exist to begin with? The game's about the league challenge but for some reason the world-destroying main antagonist isn't the game's final boss. Only BW of all games got that right

Gen I and II they were bumps in the road but never your main goal. It's Gen III, IV and VI that arbitrary focus more on the evil team plot than the league plot. Why do these games even have evil teams? Why do the games all force you to catch the boxart legendary now? Why is Pokemon so cyclic when it could be experimenting like Gen II, V or PLA?

Why do you retards buy it anyway??

Team Flare was meant to be an ironic twist. The evil team of Gen III feels less necessary than IV's, V's or even VI's since the latter ties its villains to the main origin point of the region's history itself. If you took out Team Magma/Aqua, not much really changes in Gen III other than no justifiable reason to catch the box art legendary... Which being forced to be a part of the story has now negatively affected the games to the point you literally ride the box art legendaries in Gen IX as your bike

If they really, really wanted to write stories about good guys vs. bad guys they should've ditched the league shit by Gen III altogether. Especially since those games "wanting to do something different" only ended up just doing the same shit as before but changing the words around. Something this series keeps falling into over and over and over again

I ran into the first group of grunts in the cave recently and their dialogue was pretty generic Team Rocket thug shit. Others, however, are just putting on a show because they're actually on Ghetsis' side and want power. It's the reason they split into two groups by BW2; they wanted different things.

The also harbor actually interesting NPC dialogue about the people-pokemon relationship. Some grunts join as an outlet for violence, like against that Munna, while others genuinely are good people. Flare are literally all just mindless scum with money and terrible wardrobes.
