Claire reeks of unprofessional, petty behavior, refuses to acknowledge her shortcomings despite having a job precisely geared toward people being able to defeat her, and tries to trap Pokemon Trainers in what she thinks is an unwinnable situation solely because her sheer ego makes her believe that if she can't do it, it's impossible for everyone. It's a good lesson to kids that not everyone older than them or with an important job is actually a good person who knows what they're talking about, even if they're not in an outright gang like Team Rocket.
