This Pokemon's design is a complete disaster. It tries to be so many things yet fails to be any of them and instead, it is seen as a hideous blue pool toy by everyone

I think the main problem is that the posing in its key art sucks ass. In any other pose it looks great, they just made it look awkward in that pose. Look at the husian version, way more dynamic and fierce

Come.to think of it, it's weird that h-samurott is practically the same shade of blue as unovan and only the shell is a different color. They straight up made typhlosion and decidueye purple and orange, respectively, meanwhile the blue of samurott's body clashes with the black and red shell. It should have been a darker blue, imo

It's memorable by virtue of being the worst, yes. Serperior at least made sense as a snakemon, and whilst Emboar wasn't great he was at least bipedal.
