>>56911862As it turns out, making one of your new mainline games take place some 100-150 years in the past with never-before-seen variations and evolutions of Pokemon that couldn't be found in the present day until the SV's DLC confirmed "yes, fucktards, these Pokemon are still around" via Kitakami and Blueberry Academy's Terarium makes it kind of hard to figure out how to naturally write them into the Pokemon World without hamfisting in time travel fuckery.
It also didn't help the anime itself contributed to the "Hisuian Pokemon went extinct despite the fact nowhere in the franchise officially states this" headcanon because it ONLY showed those Hisuian Pokemon in flashbacks during Journeys, and even Horizons isn't doing anything to help because Lucius' Kleavor is still kicking because of magical bullshit.
