>>56935554>Is DQM1 worth playing first or is it fine to jump right into DQM2?DWM2 is better in every way. More monsters, more Skills, a new story that isn't just a bunch of memberberries of past titles, a more expansive key system, better graphics, and more of a postgame than a series of bossfights (though that's still present). Which version you play also matters, affecting both what wild monsters are available in story worlds, and one specific story event.
In Tara's Adventure, the wild monsters are mostly those with defensive or support Skills. In Cobi's Journey, the wild monsters are mainly those with offensive Skills. The story event, difference, without spoiling much, is that you end up in a dungeon. With Tara, she's able to crawl through a hole in the wall to escape; with Cobi, he's too big to fit through, so your escape takes a different route.
