>>56951545Well yeah, Worlds is obviously much stricter with what you should use to win, thats why Incineroar or Rillaboom will be on 70% of teams, but I'm talking about general Ranked Ladder in the games, what the average competive player would interact with, not the best of the best. Of course occasionally in Worlds or championships you'll get weird picks like Pachurisu back in the day, or Glicks attempts to bring a weak mon to worlds, but you're right that generally Showdown Smogon singles are more diverse than Worlds.
When I'm on ingame ranked ladder though (disregarding everything lower than Ultra ball) I still tend to see more unique strategies and mons than the copy-pasted
smogon.com sets I encounter on Showdown. Like yesterday I encountered a "rain team" that used Rain Dance Maushold instead of Pelliper to counter my turn 1 Sun.
