I can't get over the art style. The environments look like the SOVL prerendered CG you'd see in an old TCG card. The bigass fan above the Deep Colosseum that only exists to inspire awe of its scale. The Deep itself just having greebled industrial shit in the horizon that stretches past the eye can see at 480p just to show you how big this random underground arena is despite it only existing for a final boss rush. The intro camera pans that make you look at the piece de resistance of each arena, whether it be the Deep fan, the globe above Phenac, or the Under's big anchor chain. It's so fucking cool.

Your playtime would rack up to being multiple hours longer because of all those long, drawn out and excessive unskippable animations.
You'd be actively discouraged from getting into battles because more battles means more animations, which means more time sitting around waiting for the next turn so you can press A a few more times before you go back to waiting again.

ironically, not the case since gamefreak games slow their battles down with everything else like showing full animations for multi-hit moves, pauses between functions, showing each individual stat change etc. and in the end the GS games are about middle of the road in terms of speed and far faster than games like DP or the 3D ones
unless there's a weather active, now that's an actual time waster that shitposters never want to acknowledge because they don't actually play the games they want to meme on
