>>56990121>Neither of you have played gen 7, you don't get to have opinions.I did. It is not the least enjoyable in-game (that's DP for me), but it has the worst replayability because it has 6 hours of dead air.
>Your criticism is singular No, the routes are pretty much straight lines, the minigames were boring to me, there's way too much dialogue that says nothing, Hop sucks, 1% encounters on calls for help suck, USUM appealing to nostalgia with Rainbow Rocket was a poor choice (and badly executed), and I the Totems were severely underused. The whole package is wasted potential and a very unfortunate sendoff for Pokémon from true handheld consoles.
>and you can't even defend the fact that older gens are literally, unambiguously, objectively games for toddlers that grown men cannot be entertained by.Adults are entertained by Candy Crush and capeshit. It's not a huge logical leap to assume that a grown man can enjoy Pokémon. In fact, a fair number of them do and not all of them started as children. Some played Pokémon in solidarity with their kids and actually enjoyed it themselves like two of my uncles. If you want to replay an older gen, you can always just mash A for a maximum of about 30 seconds, be done with the dialogue for a while, and continue your adventure. You don't have the option to do this with Gen 7. The disparity here is exacerbated by emulation because instant text cheats are easier, less demanding, and faster than speeding up through a 3DS cutscene. Further, ROMhacks expand on those older gens to make them more engaging for adults. You can very easily add difficulty to an old gen game, but cutting the fluff from Gen 7 is a lot harder and harder to run. Sorry pal, but you're picking a fight here that you absolutely cannot win.
