There are only a handful of genuinely reprehensible pokemon designs, like calyrex, the rest are just new. Yes, even your gen 4 and 5 hated designs are hated because they are "new" to you.
Objectively, any Pokemon design that doesnt suspend disbelief in the possibility of them being real creatures that could psuedo-realistically exist are bad designs. Guess what? Over 3/4 of all Pokemon fail that rationalization.
Anybody who still makes "buh buh but it looks silly/stupid/whatever is nothing more than a wailing child, crying because the silly super powered fictional creature doesnt fit their standard of "normal".
