There is a popular trope in (mostly Japanese) media where a shy and timid character later becomes more confident and sociable.
But I have a question: what is wrong with being shy and timid? Why does this person need to change? This person is literally harmless. Why can’t people simply tolerate someone like that? People have learned to tolerate LGBTQ+ individuals, so why can’t they accept someone who is shy?
In my opinion, shy people who try to "change" their behavior are compromising their true nature to fit societal norms. They abandon their authentic selves just to conform to what society expects of them.
They are cucks and cowards who can't accept themselves.
