Juliana made it to the final champion battle. Her heart was racing with excitement. It’s been a long time coming and a lot of training for her to meet champion Geeta! It was strange, though – the Elite Four was missing, and Rika gave her the pass to go right through. She was obviously much more knowledgeable than the rest, so maybe that was it?
Hefty thighs jiggled with each step, and she opened the door to the arena rooftop. It was overcast, and nighttime, but that was perfect for a dramatic battle, no? Stepping out of the building and letting the cold air hit her skin, she took in a deep breath, grinned – and walked forward into the darkness.
The stage illuminated, and in front of her was not Geeta – but a monster not too far off from herself, sitting in a throne built especially for her – Nemona.
Except, she was different from the last time Juliana saw her. After all of the discourse from the festival, she’d disappeared for a couple of months – basically off the face of the planet, and now she’s back, bigger than ever, with a few new accessories added to her look. Cynthia’s ill-fitting jacket, Diantha’s necklace and white choker, and atop her head was Dawn's crown.
“You’ve finally made it, Juliana!”
“Ne… Nemona? What’s the meaning of all this?” Juliana tilts her head to the side in confusion, though not innocence.
“You’re the only one I couldn’t beat…” Nemona stands up tall, though her gaze doesn’t leave the floor beneath her, even as she walks forward. “Everyone else was too easy! But you left me wanting… something more. A different kinda victory, maybe. And I can tell that you used the same methods of training I did, too…”
