"How did you know?" says Kukui, internally celebrating that she chose the best possible person to shift Chicken's involvement onto.
I knew it! What about her is so special?" yells Burnet
Kukui responds "I could ask the same about Hau"
Burnet glares at him and Kukui apologizes "Sorry, sorry. It's not her or you, it's me. I guess I'm not the responsible dad type, so when you got pregnant, I got scared. It's no excuse, but I didn't think of the consequences, I just acted impulsively."
Burnet calms down a bit "I guess I can see that. What...happened between me and Hau was the same, It was an impulse. But where can we go from here?"
Kukui is ready to put his plan into action, as Burnet seems open to discussion.
"Like I said earlier, I don't want to divorce, and I'll be around for you and Lei more, but since I cheated as well, what do you want?" Asks Kukui
Burnet replies "I don't want to lose you or split up our family either..." she thinks of her connection with Hau and his seed that's still flowing inside her and continues "...but Hau has been amazing help, and I don't want to lose him either."
"She's making this so easy" Kukui thinks to himself.
"You want to keep fucking Hau?" Says Kukui
"It's not like that!" protests Burnet
"Just messing around" replies Kukui, "It's fine with me, if Hau makes you happy, then I'm glad he's around. But if I allow this, what about Chicken's mom?
Burnet thinks for a moment "As jealous as I get, I suppose it's only fair for you to get a pass as well. What is our marriage becoming..."
