>>57016066I don't actually hate Pikachu as a species, I just don't like when it's forced upon me. As an example, Pokemon Masters gives you a Pikachu to start with. This isn't a bad thing; what makes it obnoxious is that the player character has multiple Pokemon assigned to them, including Solgaleo. However, whenever there's a story scene, it's Pikachu that gets used. The only times Solgaleo got to show up were for five literal seconds during the Alola Villain Arc, and during the Ash event, where it was only done to continue shilling that godawful character.
