>still an evil action because you're stealing from other people. That is morally wrong.>all crime is equal, the manner in which it's done is totally irrelevantPlenty of Pokemon steal, because they're kleptomaniacs, to feed on negative energy, or just to have fun. Are they all evil, then? There's no way you actually believe this.
>If it's for survival, that's inherently differentYes, it is for survival. That's two concessions in one post, I'll take it. Pecharunts rely on their mind controlling abilities as they otherwise cannot fend for themselves. They're tiny, shaped like a berry, their only real stat is Defense, and their entire learnset consists of like 15 moves in total. Moreover the one we encounter in-game is timid in nature and heavily implied to be young. Feeding others mochi is probably outright instinctual, after all, why not? It makes them friendly towards you and stronger so they can better protect you.

Children don't come out with a developed moral compass, anon. The elderly couple had their greed awakened, somehow I really fucking doubt they'd go like "Hey Pecharunt, all those things we ask for, you have to get through strictly legal means, okay? Otherwise it doesn't count." If a child is rewarded for a behavior, it's gonna continue doing it.
See you in 10 hours, hope you have a good day.
