Because Typhlosion is that more people hate. Johto is the only region where being popularity is a disadvantage because its not supposed to be anything other than Kanto's side dish. Typhlosion is the rare example of a Johto Pokemon that managed to become "popular" and even then its a cult favorite at best since most normies didn't even know Typhlosion existed until Suguru chose to use it in his creepy furry preggo fanfic. Genwunners hate it because it will never measure up to Charizarderino in their eyes, new fans hate it because its "bland" and not a furry mascot with 90 with 3 abilities in one and God's movepool, and out of small group of people who played GSC/HGSS the ones who picked didn't pick Typhlosion hate it, Meganium fans because they blame Typhlosion for Meganium being hated (remember there was once a time when Meganium was the most despised starter) and Feraligatr fans because they're ungrateful faggots who despite Gatr being nearly as much buffs as a KANTOOOO starter, Johto fans still preferred Typhlosion.

tldr. Typh didn't look down when a GenWun pokemon spoke to it and got set up and lynched. Pokefags dance of its grave, and Meg/Gatrfans double down on their spite as a way to cope that the very few Johto fans that exist would rather be forced to carry a Cyndaquil rape baby than use the other two Johto starters.

Piloswine may be a big pig, but he is not a rapist. In fact, that story was taken out of context: a woman got lost in the mountains, and Piloswine saved her so she didn't froze in the cold.
Sadly, his food reserves started to become small as he tried to take her to civilization. In the end, he sacrificed himself so she could have food and warm.
With the knowledge of hunting and resourcing, the woman came back to her people safe.

Pray for big piggu, since he has been kind to the end.

The recent leaks had 3 versions of the Typhlosion story, in case you know that one. One with Typhlosion, one with Slaking, and one with Piloswine. They're mostly the same.

Any new poll would be too biased to mean anything The entire Cyndaquil line was given "the ick" due to Suguru's What's His faces perversion and hate. No member of the Cyndaquil family will never gain any new fans and the only people who didn't drop them from their favs would be the ones would had it as their all tine ride-or-die favorite. The Toto lne winning after in any poll after the leaks wouldn't be a reflection of taste, it would just be people not wanting to be canceled for picking the "problematic starter.
